Is it possible to have a function in the Vibe script to allow a user to modify his password? I also think that this password must not be displayed unencrypted in the admin interface.

In the current version no such functionality is able to build. But I'm currently re-writing the script language and in the next version of Vibe Streamer it will be possible to create such modifications to the skins so users can update their password and more..

How about letting users register their own user/pass from the login screen. Optionally with admin approval before they can log in. Will this be possible with the plugin engine?

That would be awesome because frequently my friends ask for access and i have to create user account manually.

Well, writing plugins is more for writing things that fit into the standard skin/js gui. Writing custom functionality for users/group management is more of working with the vibe script language, which pretty much is a server based variant of javascript. It's the same as working with the vibe streamer 2 script language, except much more powerful.
I haven't written any documentation for that, but maybe I should get a wiki or something like that available so I can put the documentation for it there..
