I know you can just click on the Log out button to log out - is there a way for when you click on the [x] on the top right of your browser to have a confirmation and to log you out, rather than closing the window and still being logging in?
I've been looking for a solution for this and I haven't found a way for the browser to 100% send a logout request when you just close the browser. As for now I'm thinking if maybe we should add a logout button to the new skin.

While I'm not sure about sending logout requests on close, I know Meebo ([url28y4i700]http://www.meebo.com[/url28y4i700]) has a notification message if you try to browse away. Might be useful, if an external program tries to open a web page in your browser and it automatically navigates away.

I was under the impression the timeout was (by default) less than one minute, and the refreshing was used to keep the session alive. So if the user closes the browser the session will timeout and log out the user.

lol theres a logout button?? Where?
yes when the timeout expires the user will be logged out ofcourse.. but some people want it to logout the user instantly if the browser is closed down, the problem is catching the event that is sent by the browser when the user closes down the window and sending a request to the vibe server, it works better in firefox but IE mostly closes down the window before the request is sent.

i just downloaded version 2.06 - is there a log out button? i cant see any.......
yep, i agree. a logout button is what i miss in VS too. it would be great to destroy the session and leave the page with just one click, rather than to completely shutdown the browser and jumping again to your urlport to get the authorization window, if you want to switch users, for example. i think this couly and should be made.
