HI all,
I can't believe I'm the first to make this request, but searching the forums I found that the string "last.fm" doesn't search for that exact string, but finds the words "last" and "fm".
Anyway, I'm running vibe streamer in vmware Fusion since I'm a OSX user. Works fine.
Really the only thing I'm missing is last.fm support. Any change that it will be implemented in the near future?

Actually my personal favourite feature in the next version of Vibe Streamer is to be able to build a plugin for last.fm support. And as it looks now this might be very possible. So if nothing unexpected occurs, this will definately be a new addition to Vibe Streamer...

A working last.fm plugin exists for Vibe Streamer 3.0.
I've been using it myself for quite some time and it seems to work fine.
So when it's finally out I'll make the last.fm plugin available for download aswell.

What's the big deal about last fm? I never use it so what am I missing? I use vibestreamer for my music not somebody elses.
last.fm is for one thing a great way of finding new music, so I very much recommend it.

Thanks siit - I'm always up for finding new music so will maybe give it a try - but that having been said there are plenty of other sites where you can do that and of course many digital radio stations.
I have managed to put the existing version of vibe streamer in my own web page and do have a couple of music site links on it - but I can access those thru any web page - do we need just one site included on vibe streamer or should we include them all?
The only reason I can see to include this in vibe streamer is if last fm paid vibestreamer money to keep it free for the rest of us maybe
I hope not - while I want features such as album art, search engine and the ability to download - I am not sure I want it cluttered with other music sites - but always happy to be proved wrong if it is a genuine benefit
A basic last.fm scrobbling support is now available in the vibe streamer 3.0.0 beta
I have just discovered last.fm today. What a great site! I love how it pulls my artists and data directly from my server, sharing it with the community. It also recommends artists based on your library.
The fact that my Vibe Streamer is tied to last.fm, I can see myself using last.fm often to scope out new music -- Thanks for the integration!!

I agree. Even though I signed up years ago, I haven't used it at all until Vibestreamer beta1 was released. Now I am totally hooked and wont ever use a player that does not have last.fm capabilities ever again. I'm eagerly waiting for the final release of VS3 so that I can utilize it fully (I just have a limited collection during the beta testing phase)
last.fm is fantastic..
I signed up long ago but wanted it in vibe streamer before I started using it, and now I'm hooked aswell, a great way to find new music and a community that I feel will last longer than most.

I agree with this request.
It would be nice to set the Last.fm username and password in the VibeStreamer user account information. That way, when I login to VibeStreamer, I login to Last.fm.
Seconded. It's annoying having to sign in every time I login, especially since I often have to refresh the page from a lost connection from poor internet signals at work.
