How does vibe streamer work? :)

I was just looking around the site and forum, and couldnt find any technical details about how VS works. I'd like to know a few details, and hopefully someone will be able to answer it. So let me start

What protocol is used for streaming? Is it a progressive download via http or "real" streaming with rtmp?
If it's via http, how do you enable jump functionality in the player?

Vibe Streamer uses HTTP which simply sends the files. An earlier alpha version had "real" streaming functionality, but this was removed for now because there had to be a few adjustments that wasn't a priority.

The best way to see how it works is to download it (the beta, preferably) and try it out.
