Player formats?

So i have had my server up for a month now, and trying to get all the quirks worked out. I noticed that the player does not support the playback of WMA files. I changed the MIME settings and when I try to play the WMA's, windows media player opens up and tries to play the file but fails. I don't care why it fails, I just would like the feature of playing WMA's if at all possible.

playing FLAC files would be nice

As of now the program only plays MP3, this is due to the Adobe Flash limitations.

Hopefully on the fly encoding will be made or a different interface may be used.
