I was looking for something like this about a year ago. All I wanted do was be able to listen too and share mp3's from my home PC but couldn't find anything simple that didn't involve a 3rd party server (like Orb) or an installed app on the receiving machine(s). Then the other day I thought I'd search again and your site showed up. I was a little hesitant to install it at first but I'm glad I did. Just the ticket. Turned several people onto it already. I mean it's a real server. Does most everything you'd want an mp3 server to do. I work with html/asp/photoshop and the ability get at the html code and build a custom skin is very tempting.

My wish list would be able to run Vibe under a virtual directory in IIS, or to run under a subdomain (something noise.domain.com) in order to mask the port number. Other than that it's as much as I could expect from a web-based player - achieving a high level cross-browser compatibility and still providing an excellent user interface. That's the ticket today.

I'm also very happy to see folks developing software for the sake of just developing. You know you could have stuffed it full of adware/spyware and had rotating ads for casinos and porn sites? However I have a feeling your reward will surpassed your wildest dreams. People will notice. So ride the wave!!

thanks for your kind words, you seem to pretty much understand the reason for vibe streamer, it's just for the development fun an for the good feeling of knowing that people frequently use what I've worked hard for..

speaking of wishlists.. yeah, you should see my wishlist time is my only enemy at the moment.. the ideas I have for Vibe Streamer has grown very big for just a single developer.. but the future will tell..
