I have been using Vibe for a long time with windows 7. I am running vibe 3.0.2 and also i am hosting a website on port 80.
recently i registered a domain name. i thought i wanted a cname to direct vibe.mysite.com but it looks more like i need an SRV record so i can send it to the right port. can you run vibe this way?
my settings in DNS are as follows
service _Vibe Protocol_tcp name mysite.com priority10 weight 200 port8010 target vibe.mysite.com ttl1 hour

i have changed my default port to 8010
i am not sure if vibe has to be installed as a service or what. there are recommendations to put a header in to redirect it but vibe does not use IIS and i am not really sure what the best way to do this is

PS I am using godaddy
