I have only tried connecting from one external network and it didn't work, so I am trying to isolate the problem. I set my VS server and had it automatically forward port 8082. I checked with an online utility and it reported that the port was forwarded properly. I can login to my VS from within my own network.
When I try to login from work, I get a server timeout - it never connects. I tried to ping my home IP address, which timed out, so I tried traceroute. I have attached a picture of the result. I can't tell where it is getting stuck, whether it is within my work firewall, at some intermediate router, or on my home network.
