Playlists not showing up on the client end when connected...

LOVE THIS SOFTWARE!!!

Ingenious and well put together...oh and thanks for making it FREE!!

I would like to know if anyone has had any trouble with getting playlists to show up?

If I create a new playlist and save it then it shows only at that time (as a client). If I log off/refresh, the playlist does not show up in the list for that user. When I look at the server under that user though, the playlist shows up.

Would love to know if there is a work around or solution...Windows security maybe?

Hi, hello and welcome.

It seems to me that it could be some kind of cache issue at the client end. Do you know what browser you are using? If it's either Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer, a forced refresh (ctrl+F5) might work. Please try that and let us know if it helped or not.

[b2976bj2q]Edit[/b2976bj2q] Oopsie daisy. I'm actually not sure what the commando is for IE, it could be shift+F5 if it needs a forced refresh, I'm not sure.

Another possible fix could be to clear the cache, that should do the trick as well.

Yes I am using IE6 and it happens everywhere I try it...
Work, library, friends etc.

Now if I create a playlist and save it. Then I load it. it works fine for that session. As many as I want, but when I get done and close out, then sign back on, they don't show up....but...if I create a playlist again with the same name as one I have already created and click save it tells me one already exists.
It still leaves the newly created playlist there (becuase it was already existing anyway) and if I click load it loads the same songs I saved in the original list. (I hope this is making sense). Basically it just simply does not show the connected client the lists that are saved for the user. If I go to the server and select that users name to view playlists saved by that user I can see them. Just not from the client connected side.

Strange, cant get that error on any computer/browser... I suppose you have tried to set up new accounts and tested it aswell? ?

Perfect.

I was using two accounts that I originally created when I first set up the server and neither would work.

As soon as I deleted them and created two different accounts everything started working.
