Comments about last.fm scrobbling

Thanks for the great software for listening music remotely and especially the new version with last.fm scrobbling!

I have found one bug in the scrobbling, though. Whenever there is an [ik4q99l7z]&[/ik4q99l7z] sign in the artist name or song title, the name gets cut at that point. For example a band called [ik4q99l7z]Wildbirds & Peacedrums[/ik4q99l7z] gets scrobbled as [ik4q99l7z]Wildbirds[/ik4q99l7z] and the same way a song called [ik4q99l7z]Rosor & Palmblad[/ik4q99l7z] becomes just [ik4q99l7z]Rosor[/ik4q99l7z].

In addition, I would really appreciate the option to define the last.fm user account settings in the server side (or store them in the server at least). This way the login would not be needed every time logging in Vibe Streamer.

Thanks for the reminder about that annoying bug, I had almost forgot about it. I fixed it as a last minute thing before compiling new new version for release. Enjoy

I agree with that one.. I haven't done it yet mainly because I'd like to do a few more small fixes to the last.fm plugin, and I'd like to fix em all at once.

I'd also like to add that songs containing umlaut characters are not scrobbled! They play perfectly fine in VS and are shown correctly but they are not transferred to last.fm!

I am using VS with Wine under Linux!

So then am I the only one who can't log in to last.fm via Vibe Streamer? It keeps telling me "Login failed - Try again." I have verified I am using the correct username and password by logging in to Last.fm with the same info that I am putting into the Vibe Streamer Last.FM login box. This used to work for me but I haven't tried it in a few weeks until yesterday.

Any ideas?

Does this problem still exist in version 3.0.1?

Just upgraded to 3.0.1 and the last.fm module is missing on the left. I then did a full uninstall/reinstall and I have the same problem. Further, I can't find anywhere to enable the last.fm module or to disable the playslit module, etc.

On the disk, I see the last.fm plugin located in \site\default\plugins. But I see nowhere to enable or disable.

Possibly related - before I uninstalled, I had a gui.xml file that had last.fm listed in it. After the uninstall/reinstall, that file is gone.

First the positive feedback thanks a lot for an amazingly quick bug fix!

Then come the negative comments Bierphysik seems to be right. Scrobbling songs with some special characters such as ä, ö, å is not working any more. I am 100 percent sure this was working with version 3.0.0 (just checked my last.fm scrobbling from yesterday morning).

I even repeated my test with exactly the same setup I was using yesterday same server machine, same client machine, same browser and so on. It seems to be not working

Yea / .. they bug fix actually showed me a bigger problem now... I'll have a new fix out soon but I've got a few busy days so you'll have to scrobble non-scandinavian tracks until then sorry,.

Check that the Last.fm module is enabled for the user/group that you're logging in with. Looks like the options section under edit user and edit group was removed from the server's GUI console, but it's now accessible via the client's administrative console which you will see if you grant target account administrator privileges. I'm guessing this was done so that new plug-ins will be automatically added to the list of available options in the client admin console where they wouldn't be added to the server GUI options.

I installed version 3.0.2. Now it seems that songs both with Scandinavian characters and "&" signs are scrobbling fine!
