Caching Large Tracks Crashing Firefox?

I use Firefox as my primary browser. When running Vibe Streamer in Firefox memory usage will jump from ~80MB to ~300MB when caching a track ~125MB in size. Once the track is cached memory usage drops to ~265MB. CPU usage bounces around from 3 to 10 percent while tracks are playing.

Now while the memory usage is high, I can continue to run Vibe Streamer for at least a few hours before Firefox crashes. I haven't had a chance to test this crash against other browsers, but wanted to see if anyone else has run into this while using Vibe Streamer in Firefox.

Windows XP Professional x86 with SP3
Firefox 3.5.4

I had Firefox crash on me while NOT running the Vibe Streamer client. The fact that it has crashed before while running Vibe Streamer may just be a red herring. Still haven't had a chance to test in other browsers.

I've had FF crash a couple times too. As I recall the page(s) was(were) a heavily JS and Flash based page. Currently running FireFox version 3.5.5.
