Very slow buffring in 3.0.0b2 and 3.0.0b3 ????

First of all - GREAT product. I've been using it since early 2.0 without any problems. But now with 3.0.0b3 (and also with 3.0.0b2) the buffring of each song takes approx 35-45 seconds.

My server is a windows 2008 server and my bandwith (up/down) is 100Mbit (average of at least 55mbit up/down) by fiber.

Has anyone else experinced the same?

I DID uninstall the old 2.06 before installing the beta.

wow, yea that sounds extreme. could it be something with adobe flash? have you upgraded that recently?

Should that be on the server or client?

on the client, try going here and see if you can install a newer version

I already have the latest on both IE, Firefox and Safari.
Just tested the same testsong again and the result was 41 seconds.

Search for Stargazer and drag the folder and start the song.
Measure it at your place to see what time You get?

At the moment I'm not in a place where I can reach port 8081 outside, so either switch to port 80 or if someone else can try it out.

I've now channeled the problem down to our company proxy.
The old version (2.06) worked fine through the same proxy, but this one does not.

However - it Works FINE from any other destination.

Problem not yours anymore.

Glad to hear that Vibe Streamer wasn't responsible

The differences you see between Vibe 2 and Vibe 3 are most likely due to the fact that they use different libraries for sockets and networking, the code base itself is also completely different..

Anyways, hope you get that proxy fixed
