Ok I have a netgear Router and a westell DSL modem. Both have places for me to forward ports. I did it all but cant see the server externally.
In the Netgear setting I forwarded port 8081 to 192.168.0.4 witch is my PCs internall address. I can navigate to 192.168.0.48081 and see my MP3s.
In the Westell modem I forwarded 8081 tto 192.168.1.47 which is my router. I can navigate to 192.168.1.478081 and see my MP3s.
I try to go to my IP and nothing comes up..Any Ideas am i missing somthing. Other port forwarding I have done worked fine.

Hello. I have a Westell router and am experiencing the same issues as you.
The ports are indeed open and forwarding to the right computer (tested using various scanners).
I was very disappointed that the faq only shows two possible causes for this problem.
The packets are getting through to the vibestreamer server
there is no firewall
router is configure properly
the right ip/port is being put in the web browser
triple checked every config settin
There are no firewalls running
the webserver service is started
still doesnt work..
page not found error.

people from the outside are prompted with a usernamepassword, but when they enter the right info they see a blank page. No songs.
