i tried putting rm in the extension box and and audio/mpeg in the mimetype box.the file showed up on the web. but the rm files were not being played.player was giving some sort of error.
check it please.

u will need to use internet explorer to stream songs
and u will also need to disable download accelerator plus.
the first folder i.e. 50 cent contains an rm file.
the file is not being streamed .
please solve my problem.
mimetypes for rm file is set extension rm type audio/mpeg on both sections..
please help me.

I might be wrong, but considering that the vibe streamer is somewhat based in adobe flash, I don't believe you'll have much luck streaming 'Real" formats through the adobe player.
The adobe flash player accepts .wav, .mpg, .flv, and a few others, but not rm(s).
Rm(s) are based in Real software, Real software is from separate company.
I would seem unlikely that the two 'competing' companies would kindly create ease of compatibility for an end user.
Your best bet is to look into Real Server Helix to stream .rm, .rv, or .rmvb files.
You can also try Unreal Media Server, but you'll probably have to add Helix based codecs to stream the .rm file(s).
