At what kbs does it stream at, does it re encode it to 128/112/96?

Can the kbs stream be set? or is the mp3 stream just a copy of the file.

With current broadband upload speeds ok 30kb per sec it would b usefull to have a control over the kps of the mp3 stream ...

If you want more control of the streaming in vibestreamer, then you will need to learn flash/actionscript.

Once you learn flash/actionscript, you'll need to change the standard skin file "player.swf" back into .fla form. Afterwards, you'll need to modify a few settings and perhaps the actionscript. But this is highly unnecessary because the current player.swf/flash does a pretty good job on it's own streaming, not re-encoding, the content.

If you want more control of the encoding process, then re-encode your mp3s to whatever you want with whatever application you chose before allowing vibestreamer to stream them.

Vibe Streamer doesn't encode any of the music, it streams the full file at whatever bitrate you have it saved as.

One of the features suggested for the next release is the possibility of encoding them to different bitrates.

Actually, the adobe flash player uploads the file at the current encoded level - the smaller the level of encode the faster flash can inject the file onto the stage and "re-encode" it outwards into a stream of up 160 kbps in mp3 format.

Once you become familiar with flash and actionscript 2/3 you'll probably grasp a better understanding.
