Some MP3 Song Files Only Stream Part of The Song

One last question today. When I click on an MP3 song file that I want to stream, some MP3 files are only partially streamed, and the song does not complete.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Could you be more precise on exactly what happens?

does it just freeze and doesn't finish loading the song?
Or is the song completely loaded and does it just stop playing in the middle of the song? Does it happen with many songs or just 2 or 3 songs?

The song fully loads, and then, in the middle of the song, it stops playing. This has happened to a few of my MP3 files, but not to all of them.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Are these songs set apart from the others. Lower bitrate. Over a certian length?

No. The MP3 files are mixed in with all of the other MP3 files that work fine, and play all of the way through the song. Some of my MP3 files are 192 kb/sec., but most are 128 kb/sec.

Hmm thats really weird. Next time it happens pleas eplay the song again and see if it happns on that same song again.

I can verify this. I have the same issue on occasion I load up an album, and one or two songs stop... and don't start again. They refuse to load, but I have found that if they're the last song in queue (and thus will continue trying to load) after a couple of minutes they'll start buffering and will play normally.

This is one of the few quirks I have... the songs are all the same bitrate (since they're in the same album), but it may be worth it to note that my provider only has 256kbps upstream.. but that shouldn't cause a problem.

If the songs are fully loaded from the server and still "freezes" on you I'd say it's Macromedia Flash that's giving you a hard time. Macromedia Flash is very picky when it comes to songs and if it has to play a song with a not-so-perfect encoding that it doesn't like it's known to give you problems. This is something that's out of my reach of fixing and hopefully Macromedia will improve their MP3 support in future versions.
