well normal prob im afraid

cant get vibe streamer to be accessed from outside the LAN

ive had a quick read through the other surpport pages but i hvnt had enough experienxe to know what it means

tryed disabling firewalls and that doesnt work so im guessing its something to do with the router, its a standard wired netgear one http//kbserver.netgear.com/products/dg834v1.asp firmware is now up to the latest version but it still doesnt work so any suggestions?

have your assigned a port and forwarded it within your router?
you connection from outside the lan should read http//outside.ipport/

you have to use the public ip seen at whatsmyip.com, after assigning port # whatever to the machine running the vibe software... something like 192.168.0.4...

if youre still lost, spend some time reading about port forwarding and static routes for you LAN.

all it needed was port fowarding afterall
