Is there a way to force an increase in the buffer time...so maybe it buffers half of the song first and then starts playing? Right now it only buffers for a sec and then starts playing, but plays faster than it can download the song.
Also is there a way to force it to start downloading songs once they have been added to the queue instead of waiting for the song to be clicked and played to start the downloading?
Thanks
This is totally up to Macromedia/Adobe flash to decide whether how to buffer. Although I'd say it's pretty strange that it only buffers for a sec if you connection doesn't allow it. But well, there is no real way to force Vibe Streamer to pre-buffer songs for you /

For sure you can do that
Sitt has to modify it tho.
sound.getBytesLoaded() >= sound.getBytesTotal()/2
Then it will play when its buffered half or when you press the play button.
You can pre buffer i suppose. By feeding flash the next song, then get flash to load the song in a second container. And play it when the current one finishes.
Pre-buffering is on the list on what's gonna be on the player in the new standard skin, so write that one up amish

also it will be possible to send params to the flash player in order to configure colors, texts and also a few other params.. so maybe it would be nice to add "bufferingLength" or whatever it should be called. could be a nice addition for such cases like this..

Well that is great...now what about the queue...is there a way to tell it to start downloading those songs once the current song is finished...?

Thats how pre buffering works it automatically downlaod the next in the queue.
I assume i can edit the preebuffering length so i can make it prebuffer 1 song or 100 songs.

Did this buffer option ever get added, I don't see an option for it?
Thanks
No it has not yet been added as a public configuration.
Thanks for the reminder, it will be added as a web client setting for next version.
