i just registered a domain using godaddy. i want to point vibe.mysite.com to vibe streamer. i have changed the default port to 8010, i believe i need an SRV record but i am not quite sure of the settings. is it better to create a cname and do a webhop or something. i currently use IIS on win 7 to run ftp and my website and i am not sure what web server vibe is using. are host headers an option?
The easiest way would be probably to set a DNS A record for vibe.mysite.com to your IP address (forward port 8010 on your router if you have one) and connect to your Vibestreamer using
http//yourIP8010/
I do not see a way to integrate Vibestreamer to IIS without the authors intervention.
