The information on this page may change as we release updated versions with changes and
new functionality to be documented.
Vibe Streamer is designed to be a flexible software, making it possible for anyone
with knowledge of HTML and basic scripting to create their own skins using the implemented
Vibe Script Language.
A good way to get started is to take a look at the standard skin and try to understand how
it works, or even modify it in ways that suit you better. The standard skin covers most functionality
and uses a flash application to stream the MP3 files from the server.
Of course this isn't the method your must use in your skin, try experimenting with different solutions that suit you.
There are some important notes that you must know before starting your skin creation:
 |
All skins must be placed in the skins folder in the directory where you installed Vibe Streamer.
Vibe Streamer looks for all skins availible every time your start the application.
|
 |
After the user has logged on to your server, VibeStreamer always executes index.vibe first.
So that file must is the entry point for you skin.
|
 |
Use the Vibe Script Language to access your shared directories and user information from your stream server.
Check out the Vibe Script reference for detailed information about Vibe Scripts.
|
 |
All shared directories and files have virtual paths. The external path they get that allows users to
access them is always <ServerURL>/virtual/<VirtualPath>.
For example, the shared file MyMusic/song1.mp3 can be accessed by the user from the URL: http://192.168.0.1:8081/virtual/MyMusic/song1.mp3
